Just an update...

Below is a picture of the view from our backyard on the west side.  The backyard backs up to a forest with a bike trail that we have had a lot of fun with.  Here are a few pictures from our latest bike ride.

Below is a picture of some wild turkeys that we just saw on our bike ride.  Crazy!!!!

My sweetheart came home!!!!

As many of you know Jared had to stay behind in College Station in order to finish his dissertation.  We have been missing him terribly.  We have been separated for 5 weeks.  As of last week we still did not know when it would all be over.  I was feeling so bad that he would be spending his birthday alone and so stressed out.  Then wouldn't you know it he just walked through the door on Thursday night to surprise us with a weekend visit!  I was so surprised and so shocked.  I could not believe my eyes.  It took me a little bit to realize it was really him.  I have never been so surprised in all my life.  Then to make matters even better I found out that he is defending this Friday and then coming home for good!  We had a great time and Michael kept telling him every where we went to stay here and not to go to work anymore, it was so cute!

Here is a picture of our little surprise we had waiting in the garage for him!

SYTYCD Heaven!!!!!

Okay, so anyone who knows me is aware that So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite, favorite show!!!  When I found out we were moving to Kansas I looked up their tour dates and it just so happened that one coincided with a business trip my dad was making to the area.  To make a long story short I forced my mom to come up and go with me and I spent painstaking hours trying to get the best seats possible.  I ended up with floor seats about 19 rows back from center stage.  Great tickets I thought.  Well when we got there, not so great!  None of us could even see the stage because the heads in front of us.  I was so disappointed until my Mom saved the day!  She went up to customer service to "complain"  in the nicest way possible because we paid the highest ticket price for seats we can't even see in.  Turns out they had reserved some seats in the front, center stage for media and had a few left.  They gave them to us!  We were so close I could hear their breath, see their bruises and yes believe it or not I even saw some cellulite dimples and a boob (they really  need to do something about those costume malfunctions, poor girl)!  It was incredible and the time of my life.  Here are just a few pictures!

Maddie's new blog

Maddie has a blog now.  It is madlalaland.blogspot.com  I was a little hesitant to allow this considering all the weirdo's out there but she eventually convinced me that it was a good way for her and her College Station friends to keep in touch.  She is growing up too fast!

Michael started preschool this week!!! Yay!!

Preschool!  He loves it and is so excited to go every Tuesday and Thursday!  He especially thinks he is cool with his race car backpack!

He is very excited!  Climbing to the top floor  to get to his classroom!
Still excited and getting ready to hang up his backpack.
He doesn't want to hang up his backpack.
He refuses to hang up his backpack!
He relents when he hears the circle time songs start!  We seriously need preschool!

This is Michael at preschool. He loves it, but he has a lot to learn!!!!

I need some help....

I just started a new job.  I am selling Lia Sophia jewelry.  I mostly started doing it so I could afford to own it.  Check out my website and check out the catalog.  I am totally lame but I loved it when I saw some stars wearing some of the same jewelry I have! ( i.e The Hills Girls.  So now you know what a serious lamo I am that I even know who those girls are and that it made me excited.)

I am trying to figure out what the best pieces are that I should add to my collection for clients to see, so it would be such a great favor to me if you would take a look at the catalog found on my website and post a response of your top three favorite pieces here on my blog.  I know my choice but I need to add more than just my own personal taste to my collection.  Anyone who posts will receive a $5 gift certificate from me.   Thank you so much for your help!!!

To find the catalogs just click on the "Our Jewelry" on the upper right hand of the screen.  Don't forget to look at both the Fall/Winter catalog and the Kiam family collection.  If you want to have some fun look at the Red Carpet Collections.

I've also added a link under my favorite links to my website and the main Lia Sophia website as well!
